Storm Summary and Projection:
Hurricane Summary POSTED: June 30, 2015 11:02 p.m. Development Unlikely Across the Atlantic Basin Through Early Next Week The Atlantic tropical basin remains relatively quiet despite there being several tropical waves moving from east to west across the basin. We are tracking tropical waves along 30 West longitude, along 60 West Longitude, along 68 West Longitude and along 95 West Longitude. The tropical waves are moving at various rates with the faster speeds showing up across the southern North Atlantic where trade winds are averaging 25-30 knots. In the Caribbean trades are averaging 15-20 knots. We continue to see a combination of strong wind shear, strong trades at the surface and dry air across the southern North Atlantic. These hostile environmental conditions will prevent tropical development across the Atlantic basin through the rest of this week and into early next week.
